Environmental, Social & Governance Commitments
Environment
Playing a key role in protecting the natural world and achieving sustainable climate objectives.
To demonstrate our commitment, we are focused on building environmental awareness, reducing energy emissions, and increasing the use of renewable energy sources.
Our Swiss manufacturing site successfully received the ISO 14001 certification on June 17th, 2022. Our facility in Scotland is engaged in and targeting ISO 14001 certification in 2024. This certification is based on international standards for environmental management systems and requires companies to measure and improve their environmental impact. Our facility in Scotland complies with applicable EU Safety and Local Environmental regulations. We have implemented energy-efficient measures, such as improved lighting and insulation, as well as installed an 80kW solar panel farm. This renewable energy source is wholly consumed by the facility and decreases our carbon footprint.
We have been measuring our carbon footprint at our Swiss headquarters starting with 2021 data, and are now engaged in carbon footprint reduction initiatives for 2024. We are also initiating carbon footprint measurement at our facility in Scotland in 2024.
We are proudly aligned with the Paris Agreement and the Greenhouse Gases Protocol. We are committed to NHS England multiyear plan to reach carbon net zero, and as such are committed to ‘carbon net zero’ by 2050. We are also following the gas emission reduction targets in Switzerland of 90% by 2050.
Additionally, we expect our partners and suppliers to adhere to our Environment Health and Safety Policy.
Our impact on the environment in key figures for our Swiss site (2022):
In 2024 we are committed to improve our 2022 comparable Carbon Footprint by nearly 20% (206 tons CO2 estimated) through the following initiatives:
Social
Promoting sustainable development and social responsibility.
Governance
Fostering a culture of honesty and accountability.
