AliveDx Achieves NHS UK Evergreen Level 2 in Annual Sustainability Assessment

AliveDx is proud to announce that we have successfully completed the 2025/26 NHS Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment, achieving Level 2 status in the UK. This annual assessment is a key benchmark for suppliers to the NHS in the UK, measuring progress toward sustainability and net zero goals. We are pleased to share that our Eysins office in Switzerland has also successfully achieved Level 2.

Level 2 recognition reflects significant progress in several areas:

  • Comprehensive net zero targets and carbon emissions reporting across Scope 1, Scope 2 and all relevant scope 3 categories.
  • Environmental measures in effect, including carbon reduction initiatives and commitments.
  • Measurement of our carbon footprint across a range of categories, ensuring transparency and accountability on an annual basis.
  • Compliance with modern slavery assessment requirements and corporate social initiatives that align with AliveDx sustainability objectives.

Achieving Level 2 is more than a compliance milestone, it is an ongoing commitment to making our global environment a more sustainable place. AliveDx is actively working to reduce emissions to net zero, aligning with NHS UK sustainability ambitions and contributing to a healthier future. This achievement reinforces our commitment to delivering innovative diagnostic products and services responsibly and sustainably, while driving positive change across all our locations and throughout healthcare supply chains as we work toward our goal of net zero carbon emissions.

As part of our sustainability roadmap, we have already implemented several carbon reduction initiatives as an organization:

  • Installing an 80kW ground-mounted solar system at our Edinburgh site, UK Scope 2 increased by 11 tCO2e. CH reduced by 97.6 tCO2e from base year.
  • Installing electric vehicle charging stations to reduce commuting emissions, which have been used over 100 times since installation.
  • Transitioning to 100% renewable electricity contracts at Penicuik starting in March 2025.
  • Introducing a hybrid working policy to reduce commuting emissions and encouraging sustainable travel through cycle-to-work schemes and car sharing.

Looking ahead, AliveDx remains focused on future carbon reduction initiatives, including expanding energy efficiency measures, reducing waste across operations, and exploring innovative approaches to lower emissions throughout our supply chain. These actions form part of our long-term sustainability roadmap, demonstrating our dedication to continuous improvement beyond the requirements of the Evergreen framework.

In the UK, AliveDx aims to achieve a 42% reduction by 2030 and reaching net zero emissions by 2045. The target in Switzerland is 50% by 2030 and net zero by 2050.
