Alba Bioscience is pleased to have completed the UK National Health Service (NHS) Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment. The Assessment is a self-assessment and reporting tool and resulted in Alba Bioscience receiving a Level 2: Comprehensive net zero targets and reporting for carbon emissions. The information reported through Evergreen is supporting Alba Bioscience to understand its alignment with NHS sustainability priorities and identify those areas in which it needs to accelerate progress.
The Evergreen Assessment is one of several NHS initiatives designed to support its net zero and wider sustainability objectives. Alba Bioscience is delighted to be supporting the NHS to achieve their net zero and sustainability ambitions, including those set out in the NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap.
Through completion of the Assessment, suppliers are measured against four sustainability maturity scores from the NHS:
- Level 1 – Publicly committed to net zero carbon and engaged with sustainability
- Level 2 – Comprehensive net zero targets and reporting for carbon emissions
- Level 3 – 2045 net zero targets that are independently validated
- Level 4 – 2045 net zero targets that are independently validated across the global organization
In 2024, AliveDx Suisse achieved Level 1 and is progressing towards level 2 in 2025. To reach Level 2, suppliers are required to measure GHG Protocol Scopes 1, 2, and relevant Scope 3 emissions (see figure below), set a UK net zero target of 2050, and provide a public modern slavery statement.
